GPISD

Rho Kappa at South Grand Prairie High School (GPHO Life Member group), is an honors social studies group under the direction of Sarah Terrace (GPHO Life Member), whose students researched the support of Grand Prairie in this historical world event.

The program included:

  • Presenting the colors and the Pledge of Allegiance
  • The opening prayer was from the Campaign Prayer Book, which was published and distributed to American Service personnel in World War I.

Join us for a history of Bass & Hays foundry. Speaker, Paul Mayfield VP of Sales, will present this history. He has been employed with Bass & Hays for 34 years.

Located in Grand Prairie by the old US naval Air Base, the Land was purchased in the 1930's by founder, Marvin Hays, and was the original home in this area to the Hays family. Bass & Hays has produced gray iron castings for many years. The company remains 100% family owned and operated.
